Para-Standing Tennis
is for people with physical disabilities who play without using a wheelchair.
The sport is supported by the ITF and national governing bodies, with over 400 players from 31 different countries. Our goal is to be represented at Grand Slams and become a Paralympic sport.
ITF supports 2024 World Championships
The 2024 Para-Standing Tennis World Championships were officially supported by the International Tennis Federation for the first time.
ITF support is a testament to the work of many stakeholders around the world over the last decade. Turin was chosen as our venue based on the quality and impact of the two previous editions, organized by Sportdipiu at the Monviso Tennis Club.
PST crowned its first World Champions: Alex Hunt (PST1), Ivan Corretja (PST2), Danny Scrivano (PST3), Cynthia Hoffman (W PST2), and Georgia Routledge (W PST3).
2023 US Open Exhibition
Para-Standing Tennis is proud to have been featured in our first demonstration event at a Grand Slam, with athletes participating in a doubles exhibition in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Thank you to the (USTA) United States Tennis Association and US Open for this incredible opportunity to showcase our sport, and for fantastic support from coaches at USTA Texas and JTCC.
